About Me

My style of massage can best be described as Integrative Massage, as I integrate a variety of modalities and techniques into every session. Some of the techniques I may utilize in a session are Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, Orthopedic/Sports Massage, Trigger Point, Myofascial Release, Lomi Lomi, Negative Pressure/Cupping, and Warm Bamboo.

My training has taught me how to work with your body to get results instead of painfully forcing my way through years of accumulated tension. By combining relaxation techniques with site specific work, I am able to provide relief from many aches and pains without the discomfort generally associated with deep tissue work.  As a result, the majority of my clients come to me seeking relief from chronic pain as much as they are seeking relief from the mental stress of living with complex medical conditions. Prior to working as a massage therapist, I spent 17 years working in hospitals, nursing homes and doing in-home hospice work. As a result, I tend to be very comfortable working with many complex health issues. Although I am largely unable to change the underlying pathology, what I can do is soothe the nervous system and allow it to reassess the situation- or, as Erik Dalton would say, "change the brain's mind about pain."

Because my specialty is technique integration, my rates are determined by appointment length, not modality used. Appointment lengths listed refer to actual time on the table, not total appointment time.
